About Me

Hello and Welcome to my Blog!

I never thought I would write or maintain a blog, but here I am! Every since I was little, I loved to write and maintained a diary for years from elementary into adulthood. Life has changed with technology and it's almost impossible to find time to sit down and write. I always thought it was a little odd for people to maintain blogs on the Internet and preferred to keep my little diary where no one could read it. So why keep a blog now?

In November of 2014 I started on a journey to try and have my own birth child. I had so many emotions and there were so many details, I was having a hard time processing my feelings. A friend suggested that I start a blog to "let it out" and to share with anyone that might be going through the same thing as me. I was worried about airing my personal business on the Internet! Secretly, I still worry about that a bit. However, I do like the anonymity of using the blog and I like that I can share my experience with others that might find it helpful in their journeys. I've only shared my blog with a few select close friends and share it on the Single Mothers By Choice (SMC) page, in case any other ladies can find my story helpful.

That's how I got here to writing my blog. Now, in 2016 I don't know what I would do without my blog. It's helped so much and in so many ways. It's been the place I could share all the ups and downs. It's also strange how much my blog has evolved as I share more and more about other aspects of my life.

With that said, my name is Patty! I'm currently 35 36 37 years old. I'm a proud adoptive mother of my wonderful toddler son, Little Guy. I've been a proud single foster mother for over 5 years. I've been trying to have my first birth child through artificial insemination and started the process in Nov 2014 and am now pregnant for the first time. Which is where my blog title came from "Creating Family C." The focus topics of my blog were about building my family.

My blog has followed my TTC journey from the beginning, it also followed the adoption of my son, and some of my foster parent journey. It's expanded into other areas of my life (goal setting, project management, unemployment).

If you have come across my page, I hope that some of my personal experience can help you.

Happy Reading!

Patty
